Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026
Horse Care Book (“the app”) is a care record for horses, published by Chinese Powered (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the app handles, where it lives and who else is involved.
- Your horses, their records, photos and reminders are stored on your phone only. We run no servers and have no accounts, so we never receive them.
- Records leave the phone only when you share or export them.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob; that is the only data collection, and it follows the consent choices you make. Pro has no ads.
- No analytics, no tracking of how you use the app.
Data stored on your device
Everything you enter is saved in the app's own storage on your phone:
- horse profiles — names, breed, color, age, height, and identifiers you choose to add such as microchip, registration and passport numbers, owner and owner contact, barn and insurance details, allergies and conditions, feeding plans and notes;
- care entries — farrier, vet and dental visits, vaccinations, deworming and fecal egg counts, medications, bodywork, vital signs, weights, exercise, feed, costs and notes;
- your care team — the names, phone numbers, email addresses and notes you type in for your vet, farrier, barn and others. The app never reads your phone's address book; Call, Text and Email hand the number or address to your phone's own dialer, messages or mail app;
- reminders and your settings;
- photos you add (a horse's picture; in Pro, photos attached to entries such as receipts or vet paperwork).
We never see this data and it is not uploaded anywhere by us. Deleting the app deletes it; so does Settings › Delete all data. It may be included in your phone's own device backups (iCloud or Google), which follow your Apple or Google backup settings.
The app has no sign-in and no account. Because we hold no copy, we can't recover a book that was deleted or lost with a phone — the app's Backup & restore lets you keep your own copy.
What you share
Health record PDFs, text summaries, CSV spreadsheets, single-horse record files and backup files are created on your phone and handed to your phone's share sheet. They go only where you send them — an email, a message, the Files app, a cloud drive — and are then handled by that service under its own policy. A record file or backup contains the horse data you chose to include, photos included, so share it only with people you mean to have it.
When you open a record file or backup someone sent you, the app reads it on your phone and adds it to your book; nothing is sent to us.
Photos and camera
The app uses your photos or camera only when you choose to add a picture — of your horse, or of a receipt or paperwork. The picture is resized and saved in the app's folder on your phone. On Android the system photo picker is used, so the app has no access to the rest of your photo library. You can decline or revoke the permission in system settings; everything else keeps working.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your phone before care is due (farrier, vaccines, deworming and the reminders you add), and, if you ask for them, on each dose day of a medication course, at the time and lead you pick in Settings. They are created on the device; no push-notification server is involved. You can turn them off in the app's Settings or your phone's settings.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob: a banner on the main screens, and optional video ads you can choose to watch to unlock a single Pro export. Horse Care Book Pro has no ads, and the ad SDK is not started for Pro users.
When an ad is requested, Google's SDK may collect device information such as advertising identifiers, IP address and approximate location derived from it, and how you interact with ads. Google uses this to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Your horse records are never shared with the ad SDK.
- Consent: where regulation requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Google's consent form is shown before any ad is requested. Settings carries an Ad privacy choices row that reopens it wherever it applies.
- iOS tracking: after that, iOS asks whether the app may track you (App Tracking Transparency). Ads use your device's advertising identifier only if you allow it; otherwise they are non-personalized. Change it any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Ad content is limited to ads rated suitable for general audiences.

Purchases
Horse Care Book Pro (monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime unlock) is bought through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which process the payment — we never see your payment details. The app asks the store on your phone whether you own Pro; no third-party purchase service is involved, and we receive no purchase data beyond the anonymous sales reports the stores give every developer.
Analytics
The app contains no analytics SDK. We don't track which screens you open or what you log.
This website
horse.chinesepowered.com is a set of static pages. Every page, this one included, loads Google's ad script (Google AdSense) and may show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites; Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners serve you ads based on those visits. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings, and other vendors' at aboutads.info. The web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser and the page requested) for security and troubleshooting, for a short time. The site has no analytics and no sign-in.
Children
Horse Care Book is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your choices
- Your records: export them any time (Backup & restore), delete one horse from its page, or everything with Settings › Delete all data. Deleting the app deletes them too.
- Ads: the consent form where it applies (Settings › Ad privacy choices), your phone's advertising-ID settings, or Pro, which has no ads.
- Photos and camera: deny or revoke the permission in system settings.
- Notifications: turn reminders off in the app's Settings or in your phone's settings.
- Subscription: manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete; for data Google's ad SDK collected, see Google's privacy tools.
Changes
If a future version changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the date above revised.
