Every horse's care, in one book.
Farrier and vet visits, vaccines, deworming, feed, weight and costs on one timeline per horse. Horse Care Book reminds you before the farrier, shots or worming are due — and shares a clean health history with a new vet, barn manager or buyer in one tap.

What's due, for every horse
Overdue, this week, this month — farrier, shots, worming, dental and Coggins, sorted by date.
One timeline per horse
Every visit, dose and bill in one place, and a printable health record whenever someone asks.
One summary to share
Last and next farrier, worming, vaccines, Coggins and the feeding plan, sent to the barn chat in a tap.
Log it in seconds, find it in years.
Each kind of care has its own fields — the ones your vet or farrier will ask about — and every entry plans the next one.
Farrier
Trims, full sets, resets and therapeutic shoeing, with your farrier's cycle — six weeks, or whatever yours is.
Vaccines
Core and risk-based vaccines with lot numbers and who gave them. Each one keeps its own due date.
Deworming
Product, active ingredient and dose — plus fecal egg counts for a targeted worming program.
Vet & Coggins
Reason, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up, and the yearly Coggins test that travel and shows ask for.
Dental
Floats, exams and extractions, with the next appointment already on the list.
Weight
Scale, weight tape or estimate, with a body condition score, so the trend shows before the girth does.
Feed
Rations, hay and supplements, and a feeding plan anyone covering evening feed can read.
Medications
Dose, route and how often — and a nudge on each dose day until the course ends.
Vitals
Temperature, pulse, breathing and gut sounds, marked when a reading is outside the usual resting range.
Bodywork
Chiropractic, massage, physio, acupuncture and saddle fitting, each on its own cycle if you like.
Exercise
Rides, lessons, lunging and turnout, with the week's sessions on each horse's page.
Costs
Every bill by month, by category and by horse — board, lessons, tack and shows too.
Reminded before it's due.
Log a farrier visit and the next one is set six weeks out. Log spring shots and each vaccine gets its own date. You choose how many days ahead you hear about it, and at what time of day.
- Overdue, this week and this month at a glance, for every horse — or the whole month on a calendar.
- A nudge on each dose day while a horse is on a course of medication.
- Reminders of your own: a saddle fitting, a recheck, the board bill.
- Log it or snooze it straight from the reminder.
- Notifications come from your phone itself — no account, no server.

Your vet and farrier, one tap away.
Add the vet, farrier, dentist, bodyworker, trainer and barn once. Call or text them from any horse's page, and they're suggested when you log a visit.
- Ask for a visit in one tap: the message lists what's due for the horses they look after, ready to send by text, email or WhatsApp.
- Numbers where you need them at 2 a.m., not buried in a phone full of contacts.
- Some look after every horse, some just one — set it on their card.
- A one-page stall & emergency card for the stall door, the trailer or a horse sitter: photo, allergies, current meds, feeding and who to call.

A record a vet can read in a minute.
The profile and IDs — microchip, registration, passport — allergies and current medications, the care team, then the care plan, every vaccination with its lot number, deworming and egg counts, farrier, dental and vet visits, on Letter or A4 and ready for the share sheet.
- For a new vet, a barn manager, an insurer or a buyer.
- Or a short summary as a message, for the barn's group chat.
- Selling a horse? Send its record file: the new owner opens it in Horse Care Book and carries on the same history.
The free book shares the last 12 months; Pro shares the whole history, with costs if you want them.

From the first scan to the next show.
For the mare in foal and the horse that competes, the dates that matter are worked out for you.
Breeding, from cover to foal
Log heats, covers (natural or AI) and pregnancy checks. The due date, the checks at 14, 28 and 45 days, the EHV-1 boosters at 5, 7 and 9 months and the pre-foaling shots go on the care plan by themselves.
- Days in foal and the due date on the mare's page.
- The foal gets its own page, with its dam, sire and birthday already filled in.
Ready for the next show Pro
Choose the rule a horse competes under — FEI, 12 months or USEF — and its page shows until when its flu shots let it compete, or from when after a booster.
- A month before the vaccination runs out, it tells you to book the booster.
- On the health record too, for a new yard or a show office.
The competition check reads the vaccinations in your book. The passport and your federation's rules are what count: check them before you travel.

Good to know
Is Horse Care Book free?
Yes. The free book covers one horse with every kind of care, breeding records, reminders, costs, backups and a health record of the last 12 months. Pro adds unlimited horses, no ads, complete health records with costs, each horse’s papers on file, photos on entries, spreadsheet export and a competition check of flu vaccinations.
What happens to my horses if Pro ends?
Nothing is deleted. The free book keeps one horse in full (you choose which), and the others stay in the book to read and share, with their reminders paused, until Pro is back.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, no login and no server: your book lives on your phone.
What if I lose or change my phone?
Make a backup in Settings › Backup & restore and keep the file in iCloud Drive, Google Drive or your email. Restoring it on the new phone brings back every horse, entry, photo and reminder. Because we don't keep a copy, the backup is yours to keep safe.
Can my vet, barn manager or a buyer see the records?
Share a PDF health record, a short text summary for the barn chat, or — for a new owner — the horse's record file, which opens in Horse Care Book and carries on the same history.
Is it a veterinary record?
It's the owner's own care log. Vets, insurers and buyers find it useful, but it doesn't replace a vet's certificate — the PDF says so, and recommends confirming vaccinations and test results with the attending vet.
Which vaccines and dewormers does it cover?
Core vaccines (tetanus, EEE/WEE, West Nile, rabies) and risk-based ones (influenza, rhino/EHV, strangles, Potomac horse fever, botulism, rotavirus), plus any you type. Deworming records the product, active ingredient, dose and fecal egg counts.
Can it tell me whether my horse can compete?
Pro checks each horse's flu vaccinations against the rule it competes under: FEI (a booster within 6 months + 21 days, none in the last 7 days), 12 months, or USEF (flu and rhino within 6 months). Its page shows until when it can compete, or from when after a booster. The passport and your federation's rules are what count, so check them before you travel.
Does it keep breeding records?
Yes, for mares: heats, covers (natural or AI), pregnancy checks and the foaling. The due date, the checks at 14, 28 and 45 days, the EHV-1 boosters at 5, 7 and 9 months and the pre-foaling shots are planned for you, and the foal gets its own page.
Does it use my units and currency?
Pounds or kilograms, hands or centimeters, and your currency. Dates and numbers follow your phone's region.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Everything runs on the phone, so you can log care at the barn with no signal. Only ads and purchases need a connection.
